Ruth’s place was situated well for what we had planned on Islay. It had access to a main road but was situated off the road in a way that gave us a sense of privacy. The pod was exactly as pictured and provided what we needed for our stay. We will be back to Islay and will definitely look to Ruth’s pod as a place to stay again!

Perfect stay for two – the pod is just off the main road in a lovely field with sea views. Cosy and extremely clean. Host was very friendly and accommodated a late check out for us. Locally made hand wash and cream was a lovely touch. Comfy bed.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ruth’s place. Everything was spotlessly clean and although the pod isn’t very big, it has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was.
Port Charlotte is one of the best places to stay on Islay, especially if you have a car or plan to use taxis. We highly recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Don’t hesitate to book it if you’re still considering it, you won’t be disappointed!
